Earlier this month, Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 blockchain, partnered with Chainlink to enhance cross-chain interoperability and integrate advanced data solutions.

This partnership positions the ecosystem for groundbreaking multi-chain applications, making it more accessible and robust for users and developers. By utilizing Chainlink’s CCIP and Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard, Shiba Inu’s native assets — SHIB, LEASH, and BONE — can now operate smoothly across 12 blockchains.

This initiative has now been expanded into Shiba Inu’s SHIB: The Metaverse project. Within the metaverse, users can now purchase virtual land using ETH or SHIB across both Ethereum and Shibarium networks.
